Everyday People – Extraordinary God
I sit here and write this post, less than 24 hours after our Community Fall Festival. There were so many incredible things that we saw at this event. I am so excited and honored to be a part of a church that loves its community. Nothing was more evident of that than hearing people say, these people in their blue shirts are so kind! Those of you who came out and were able to serve our community, truly do “love our city”. I feel so honored to be called your pastor. We were able to collect 2 boxes and 4 trash cans filled to the top with can goods and food items to donate to UCAP. I am looking forward to delivering this food to UCAP on behalf of North Acres and the Community. We have no way to get an exact head count because there were so many who didn’t register, and so many who registered one person and brought way more. Our best guess is there were probably around 750 people on site at Victory Park, making this one of the largest Fall Festivals we have had! We were also able to see roughly 50% of our church serve in some capacity. Lastly, we had 50 families that registered and marked that they had no church home, with a few of them saying they were looking! All of this is so exciting! God is doing great things in and through North Acres. I am thankful for all who served, gave, and led this event. I saw such a unity between young and old, new and seasoned, leaders and servants. Thank you church for being an example of what we have been reading in Ephesians.
Ephesians 4:4, “There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call…” Grateful that our church was able to exemplify this truth of Unity!
